Marpol accidental oil outflow extension released

We are pleased to announce the release of our new Marpol oil outflow extension according to MEPC.141(54). This new extension calculates the accidental oil outflow parameter for vessels with an aggregrated fuel oil capacity of more than 600 m3. This oil outflow parameter is calculated for both sides of the ship. More details regarding this new extension can be found here.
 
Newly delivered ''Fugro Searcher'' receives DELFTload

March 15th, 2010
On 12 March 2010, Fugro took delivery of a new-build survey vessel, the MV "Fugro Searcher". The high-tech survey vessel was build by the German shipyard Fr. Fassmer GmbH & Co. KG located near Bremen.

Critical points Print
Critical points dialog.This extension allows for the input of critical points (e.g. ventilation openings, downflooding points, deck edge points, weathertight openings and tank connections). These points can be tracked in calculations performed by the following extensions:
  • Load case extension (intact stability)
  • Probabilistic damage stability
  • Cross curves extension
  • Max. allowable VCG' extension
The use of critical points gives the designer a clear understanding of when specific events such as deck immersion or downflooding occurs (output of displacement, heeling angle, trim and draft. For damage stability calculations weathertight openigs and tank connections can be specified.
