b_150_100_16777215_00_images_News_deo_volente_large.jpgHartman Marine has ordered 3 licenses of the DELFTload™ loading software for use onboard their entire fleet of fast heavy lift vessels. The first vessel, the "Deo Volente" has won the Dutch Ship of the Year award in 2007. It has quickly proven to be so successful that two other ships are now under construction. The first of these two ships, which will be named "Eendracht" and "Pacific Dawn", is scheduled to be put into service before the end of this year.

In order to facilitate the lifting of heavy cargo in DELFTload, the crane module will be extended with some new heavy lifting features. These will be developed in close collaboration with the ordering customer, focusing both on user friendliness as well as 3D presentation of ship and cargo.

One of the new features will be the use of stabilizer pontoons. All 3 Hartman Traders are equipped with a stabilizer pontoon to provide extra stability while lifting heavy loads. The pontoon, which in addition can be filled with water, is attached to the side of the ship at a number of fixed locations.

The ability to lift cargo with both of the ship's cranes operating in tandem configuration, and to visualize the entire process in 3D is also a major requirement for the software.
