DELFTload™ for MV Emuna and MV Moana

March 27 2009
b_225_150_16382454_00___images_News_moana1.jpgIn March the first of two licenses was installed onboard the MV Emuna, just prior to its maiden voyage. The MV Emuna is the first of two sister vessels to be completed at the premises of Holland Shipyards

The Emuna is owned by Chris Kornet. The second vessel, the MV Moana owned by Jan Otten, is currently nearing completion. The trials are scheduled for the end of April.

Both vessels are capable of carrying various types of cargo, like containers, wood, large volume objects, grain or homogeneous cargo. To accommodate for this the general cargo module of DELFTload™ was extended with the following new features:

  • Grain stability and automatic selection of the appropriate stability criteria based on the actual loading of the vessel.
  • Automatic positioning of grain bulkheads from a pull down menu. The hold configuration is automatically updated based upon the location of the bulkheads.
  • The ability to move hatch covers and other items to various pre-fixed locations. These items are visualized both in 2D as in 3D.
