Welcome aboard
This hull can be adapted to your needs. What speed and what payload do you wish?

What speed? As my sketch looks right now, the displacement is 7 m ^ 3. Payload is usually +/- 17% of design displacement.

Hi Francois

At the link bellow, a boat named 35' STEEL MY, double chine hull, can be built from steel or plywood
They may have different deck plans to suit your needs
www.selway-fisher.com/Mcover30.htm
Coster 36 of Bruce Roberts
www.bruceroberts.com/public/HT...KER-36.htm
Kingfisher 36 of Sam Delvin
www.devlinboat.com/2016/03/kingfisher-36/
After checking Barbados boat yard, I understand that they are building wooden boats on request, some very old designs.
What is the specific boat you are talking about?

Best wishes
Iosif

hi İosif,
did you have a look to the link I gave to you?
that is the type of boat İ want to build using playwood using a planing hull, straight frame for aft and smooth curving to the front.
cordialement

A planing hull shape is highly unsuitable at the speed, seven knots, that you are aiming for. Seven knots on a ten meter waterline is also a little inappropriate. It requires very high accuracy of the ships stern design. This is especially true of the depth of the transom. That's what appears in my suggestion, but it has to be adapted to seven knots. The boats you refer to do not match this low speed.

Hi Francois

Yes, I check the link you have posted, it is to the Turkish version, bellow the link to the English version:
www.barbaros-tekne.com.tr/950ab-en.html
Length : 9.50 m
Beam : 3.40 m
Draught : 1 m
Weight : 4.5 t
Fuel Capacity : 220-350 lt
Engine : 100-240 HP
Speed : Appr. 7-16 miles/h
Certificate : CE
The deck is a trawler shape. It is also much less than 11 meter 7 ton load.
It is an old design, round bilge hull built from wood. It may be even from the time of Piri Reis.
It is not a boat that you are going to build yourself from plans. You need a boat yard specialized in wooden boats with skilled workers.
I assure you the boat is high quality, have many Turkish boat yards specialized on wooden boats.
You can see the work from the photo's.
At the links I sent you are boats that may fit your needs:
* COASTER- COASTWORKER 36 of Bruce Roberts is a two chines boat and Bruce plans are accurate and easy to go with.
* 35' STEEL MY is also a double chine. They may have plans for the deck as well. You may send them an email and ask for.

The Dauntless by Glen L
I forget in my previous post a link to a boat from Glen L that maybe will be the most suitable for you, the Dauntless:
www.boatdesigns.com/36-Dauntle...ducts/533/
The boat is a 36 feet that is 11 meters
I built in the past a small boat with Glen L plans for a friend, excellent drawings and instructions.
He have also a few books about boat building, very useful.
You can buy study plans for this boat for $US 15
You can see the specifications in the link bellow:
www.glen-l.com/designs/workboa...tless.html
It is a hard chine hull so more easy to build.
Hull type: Semi-displacement, hard chine hull with efficient speed range to 10 knots.
An other boat that using the same hull is the Odyssea:
www.glen-l.com/designs/cruiser/odyssea.html
In the link you may find also a few useful pictures to understand the design

Best wishes

Hi JS

The pictures you have sent may fit Francois needs, if you will send a side view including the deck to see if have enough aft deck for fishing.
By the way, I understand that Francois want to build the boat, building plans are available for the boat in the pictures?
Regarding steering at 7 Knots:
I think Francois talks about 7 Knots as a minimum acceptable, the Turkish yard boat speed is 7 to 16 miles/h
If you will use outboards, no steering problems there.
With an inboard, you will need a relatively big rudder or side trust at very low speeds.
Non of the boats I proposed have planing hull shape, they are not intended to plane as they are displacement hulls and double chins is relatively easy to build.

Best wishes
Iosif
