Document publishing extension
With the release of version 7 we have also released a brand new extension to publish stability documents. The preparation of stability booklets can take quite some time and for most vessels it has to be done multiple times during the design cycle. Using our new document publisher this task has now been fully automated.
Damage stability (deterministic)
The inclined hydrostatics extension offers the designer a view on the hull under trim and heel. After specifying a displacement, heeling angle and trim this module calculates the corresponding draft and some additional relevant hydrostatic properties.
Bending moment and shear forces
This extension allows for the input of critical points and openings (e.g. ventilation openings, down-flooding points, deck edge points, weather tight openings and tank connections). These points are mostly used during the evaluation of stability criteria and are required by the following extensions:
Intact stability (load cases)
The dredger extension is an add-on for the regular intact stability extension of DELFTship™. It can be used to calculate the intact stability of dredgers, but also for other vessels with open cargo holds, like open-top container ships for example.
Max. allowable VCG' calculations
Marpol Oil Outflow MEPC.141(54)
This implementation of the probabilistic oil outflow calculation according to MEPC.141(54) calculates the accidental oil outflow performance ("Oil Spill Index”) of a vessel.
Only a few parameters need to be specified by the user. DELFTship automatically identifies small tanks (less than 30 m3) which may be omitted from the calculation.
Probabilistic damage stability
The probabilistic damage stability extension developed by DELFTship BV incorporates both the old rules for damage stability as well as the new harmonized rules, MSC.216(82) that entered into force on January 1st 2009.
